Bridal season is back in full swing and the brides are all out shopping and looking for the perfect gown.
Armed with bridal magazines and lots of pics...but not really sure what they are looking for...the question becomes "where to begin"!
Lets start with the basics...All that glitters is not gold. If you are out looking for your dream gown start with an experienced salon. A boutique store that has been in business for 20 years or longer is still around for a reason. Independent boutiques and salons have so much experience to offer, and this is one of the few services you will get without a fee! The experienced consultant will listen to your needs and know the right questions to ask - leading you to your perfect gown from a reputable designer.
January to March are very busy times in the bridal industry. After Christmas the newly engaged brides are starting the hunt while the 2013 brides are feeling the crunch to get their orders placed and the gowns are coming in for the Spring orders. Do yourself a favor and be sure to book your appointments well in advance, Saturdays are always crazy days so a 1 hour appointment is recommended. If you are available during the weekdays it is always advisable to take advantage of the quieter times in the salon.
When shopping for your gown follow your heart! You are the only one who knows how you feel in a gown,
so you will know when you have found "the dress". Once you get that feeling, you will find yourself comparing everything to "the dress" - you are done!
Don't look back - go ahead, get measured and place your order. Now that the main fashion decision is made its time to start thinking about the bridesmaids and don't forget mom's!
